32: Design, Build and Launch of a Book/Writing Themed Blog or Website by Brendan GannonPosted: March 13, 2011
DETAILS: Design and development (coding) of a blog or static website related to books/writing/publishing. Winner provides hosting and a domain name (though I’m happy to help you set these up), and, of course, content. I will consult with winner to design and implement a site that engages their audience and helps advance their professional goals. The site can optionally be built on a framework that allows user to maintain and edit the content. Includes search engine optimization and simple integration of any social media accounts (e.g. ‘tweet this’ buttons, FB like buttons); does not include sophisticated custom applications (e.g. full-fledged online store, unicorn-themed Flash-based video game). Includes initial design mockup and one design revision prior to start of coding. Available immediately for discussion and planning, and will be free to begin work on the site in early June. If June is too early, winner should be ready to launch site by end of this calendar year. The approximate value would be $1,500 – 2000 depending on the project.
